APPOINTMENTS

 

We see patients age 18 and older. Specific appointment times are made for the convenience of both you and Dr. Garcia. However, the nature of medical practice is such that unexpected emergencies do occur causing occasional delays. We will keep you informed when these delays happen. Rest assured, should you become acutely ill, we will make time for you.

When you call for your appointment or procedure, the office staff will ask for a brief description of your medical needs. Doing so will help schedule the appropriate amount of time for your appointment. Please bring all medical history and previous medical records you may have with you, as well as all of your medications so Dr. Garcia can keep accurate records and provide the best possible care. For all visits, it is best to arrive 10 minutes early to allow the staff to update insurance, address, and telephone information.

 

Unfortunately we do not take “walk- in” patients. In order to give you more time and attention and to minimize waiting time, appointments must be scheduled in advance. Appointments can be made specifically to see Dr. Garcia, or directly with the medical nursing staff to get your blood drawn, receive injections, or for medical procedures ordered by providers. Once you have an appointment scheduled our automated system will call you two days prior to your appointment to verify the appointment time reserved especially for you. 

 

We ask that you notify our office 24 hours prior to your scheduled time if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. A $50.00 charge to your account will be made if you fail to do so. We ask you please understand that we reserve time on our schedule especially for you when you make an appointment. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to show, it is not always possible for our staff to schedule another patient that maybe waiting for an appointment. Therefore, it has become necessary for us to charge a fee. We thank you for your understanding. Appointment time is valuable for our patients, and not keeping one denies the time for another patient to be seen.
